A long time ago, when the Once-Ler was* young, the grass was* green. The pond was* wet. The fish splashed around. The bears played under the trees and they ate* fruit.

The Once-Ler arrived in this paradise and he first saw* the trees. He wanted to touch the silk of the trees. So, he unloaded his cart.

What are the differences between

the text and the movie?

  • In the text, the Once-Ler has yellow eyes while in the movie he has blue eyes.

  • In the movie, there is a trap whereas in the text, there isn’t.

  • In the movie, the Once-Ler has green gloves whereas in the text he has green hands and hairs.

  • Unlike in the text, in the movie Ted rings the doorbell.

  • Contrary to the text, in the movie shows the price.

1- Electronic trees are messy and dirty while real trees are tidy and clean.

2- Real trees can change colours just in Autumn whereas electronic trees can change colours with a remote.

3- Contrary to electronic trees, real trees have a lot of leaves.
