Customer: Waiter! Waitress! I have a question!

Waiter/Waitress: What would you like to know?

C: What is the specialty / soup of the day ?

W: Today is tomato soup, a British specialty.

C: I’ll have the soup. (I will have the soup)

W: What would you like to drink?

C: I would like 2 glasses of strawberry cocktail.

   How much is it ?

W: It’s £10 (ten pounds) all together.

C: Oh, that’s not very expensive.

Is the ice-cream really home-made.

W: Yes, it’s home-made everyday.

   Would you like some chocolate?

C: Yes, please with chantilly cream.

At the fast-food restaurant

This restaurant is not very fancy because it’s a fast food restaurant but the waitress is very polite.

The customer is very chic. He has a tie and a shirt, leather shoes and a beautiful watch.

He wants breakfast but he is 3 minutes late. They stopped serving breakfast at 11:30 (a.m.).

He gets angry because they can’t understand each other. They can’t speak together.

He says: « the customer is always right« .

She was waiting for a customer and she was drinking to forget about this situation because she was very poor.

It’s a British restaurant because there are many specialties and you must pay in pounds. (£)

It’s a fancy restaurant but it’s not very expensive. The menu is 15 pounds (£15) all together.

First the woman orders salad. After that she would like fish of the day with peas and potatoes.

For dessert, she wants homemade ice-cream.

To drink, she‘d like a glass of red wine.

Finally, she takes a cup of coffee.
